Regulation and Procedure for Taxi Permit Transfer: New Directives from the Ministry of the Interior

The process of transferring taxi permits is now subject to stringent regulations. A recent circular issued by the Minister of the Interior outlines in detail the eligibility criteria for requests to transfer these permits, the authorized persons to submit them, as well as the deadlines to be observed for their submission.

In this document, the Minister of the Interior emphasizes that the taxi permit represents an administrative authorization granted nominatively through a gubernatorial decree. Due to its nominative nature, this permit ceases to be valid upon the death of its holder. The minister underscores the need for walis and governors to issue a gubernatorial decree to cancel this permit as soon as they are informed of the holder's death, whether by local authorities and services, a family member, the permit operator, or the taxi driver. However, the continuity of the exploitation of this permit depends on obtaining a new authorization, a point specified in the circular.

For citizens wishing to proceed with the transfer of a taxi permit, please print and complete the attached documents, and submit them to the headquarters of the Province of Berkane.
