The Moroccan government has launched the portal “www.Asd.ma” for the direct social assistance program. Applications can be submitted after registering with the National Population Registry (RNP) and the Unified Social Registry (RSU). After processing by the National Social Assistance Agency, a response is provided within a maximum of 30 days. The assistance, starting at the end of December, ranges from 500 to over 1,000 dirhams per family, depending on family composition and the number of children. The program aims to support families in need, with effective targeting based on the RSU. To address social and economic challenges, the project will require 25 billion dirhams in 2024, increasing to 29 billion annually from 2026. Two bills have been approved to facilitate implementation. The program aims to cover 60% of families not included in social security schemes, with an eligibility threshold set at 9.74 points. The registration in RSU until September 2023 includes 2.8 million households, laying the groundwork for significant social change. The “asd.ma” platform embodies the royal vision of solidarity and social progress
