The Berkane Portal for Innovation and Territorial Intelligence is a public startup, the result of a joint strategy between the General Directorate of Territorial Communities and the 16 communities that make up the Province of Berkane.
The Local Development Company, Majal Berkane, is a space for innovation and territorial intelligence, a shield and a technological support, created to support and accompany the territorial communities and companies in the process of digital transformation and dematerialization of the administration, with the aim of democratizing citizens’ access to their daily services in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner.
Within the framework of this general orientation, Majal Berkane plays several roles, at the forefront of which is the creation of an information and data system, characterized by precision and reliability. It aims to manage urban data using technological mechanisms and applications, in order to provide territorial communities with economic, social, and urban data. This facilitates decision-making and improves the delivery of services to citizens in terms of accuracy and speed.”
It also plays a central role in promoting investment by facilitating access to technical studies and feasibility studies, in addition to launching and accelerating innovative projects and startups, thanks to the creation of a welcome center for startups and the creative industry (currently under development).
